On Tuesday 5th December 2017 we will be closing our permissive footpaths for one day only. Providing access as permissive allows us to offer the miles and miles of footpaths for everyone to enjoy exploring the Forest.
Having ended the 2016-17 planting season with another 180,000 new native broadleaf trees planting in the Heart of England Forest we are proud to announce this has led us to reach the milestone of 1.6 million trees planted since 1996.
The Heart of England Forest understands more than most, the profound impact a legacy can make. Our Founder Felix Dennis’s incredible gesture leaves a legacy, in every sense of the word, sowing the seeds of a better world for the next generation.
While you are welcome to visit and enjoy one of our waymarked walking routes 7 days a week at your own leisure, why not take the opportunity to come along to one of our organised events, where you can meet members of the team and other supporters of England’s largest new native broadleaf forest.
Our splendid volunteer team is growing all the time as more people join us to get involved in creating wonderful new woodlands. Now with the opportunity to volunteer at weekends we hope the door will be open to many more to get involved.
