Help sow the seeds of a better world - Leaving a legacy in your will - The Heart of England Forest

The Heart of England Forest understands more than most the profound impact a legacy can make. Our founder, Felix Dennis, left the majority of his estate to the charity. His gift has been ring-fenced to enable us to purchase and secure much of the land needed to reach our goal of creating a 30,000 acre forest in the centre of the country. His incredible gesture leaves a legacy, in every sense of the word, sowing the seeds of a better world for the next generation.

Felix established the Heart of England Forest to tackle a clear and vital issue: the lack of native woodland cover within the UK.

Our vision today is just as focused and determined as Felix. We are working to plant, protect and preserve a huge new, 30,000-acre broadleaf forest. We are reversing centuries of decline and planting one of the largest forests in England, in one of the most densely populated parts of the country.

Since Felix began his mission in 1996 we have planted an incredible 1.6 million trees across 3,400 acres. Now at 12% of our long-term goal, the Heart of England Forest is already the largest new native broadleaf woodland in the country with much to offer local and wider communities.

If you are inspired by Felix’s vision or keen to ensure your gift makes an impact both today and for generations to come, then please consider leaving a gift in your will to the Heart of England Forest. No matter the size, every gift will make a real and tangible difference. Your support will help create a national asset; a refuge from the modern world where people can rediscover nature and wildlife can flourish.

With your help, we can plant and protect tomorrow’s great native woodland and the result will transform the lives of millions for centuries to come.
