Since 2014 we have worked with our partner Vauxhall across a variety of initiatives. Most recently we were delighted to host their exclusive Crossland X vehicle launch at our Middle Spernal site, Alcester.
The two-day event saw a total of 37 motoring journalists join us for an all-round driving experience.
Each day kicked off with an informative presentation held in our short barn facility. This was a chance for the journalists to learn more, not only about the Crossland X vehicle but also about the strong affiliation between Vauxhall and the Heart of England Forest as well as how that relationship has developed over the past 3 years.
They then set out for their first driving experience of the day. The routes ranged from 32-41 miles, travelling across the picturesque Warwickshire countryside for a well-earned coffee break at The Horse and Groom in Bourton-on-the-Hill.
After a morning of driving everyone returned for a delicious lunch provided by the award-winning Mexican catering airstream ‘Flaming Cactus’. Spoilt for choice, they served up everything from burritos to burgers, before heading out for one last test drive.
We received great feedback over lunch and were told how the terrain and topography around our Middle Spernal site provided the perfect conditions to showcase the vehicles key features.
The extra 16-mile loop routes after lunch provided the opportunity to drive additional model variants in and around the local areas.
Denis Chick, Director, Communications for Vauxhall Motors said: ‘We are very proud of our association with The Forest so the Crossland X launch was a unique opportunity to share that pride with a wide cross-section of UK motoring journalists. They all enjoyed learning the background to its development and its plans for the future. A great day was had by all!’
Located in the heart of England, the Forest is perfectly placed to hold a range of events accessible for people all over the country. We can facilitate anything from presentations in the Short Barn, exclusive events and meetings in the Long Barn and of course outdoor events, team building, activities and walks in the Forest itself.
