Saturday 11th April, 10am – 4pm

Willow Weaving Workshop – Hare Sculpture

Create your own hare sculpture from willow with local artist Rachel Harwood.

A full day workshop, where using simple weaving and sculpting techniques you will learn to make a characterful 3ft seated Hare to take home. Suitable for beginners upwards, you will be guided through all the steps and willow weaving techniques needed all within the setting of the Heart of England Forest. 

£75pp including materials, tea, coffee and cake.

Friday 24th April, 10am – 1pm

Willow Weaving Workshop – Garden Wigwams

Create your own garden wigwam from willow with local artist Rachel Harwood

A morning workshop, where using simple weaving techniques you will learn to make a 6ft wigwam to take home for climbing plants, as a garden decoration or for both . Suitable for beginners upwards, you will be guided through all the steps and willow weaving techniques needed all within the setting of the Heart of England Forest.

£40pp including materials, tea, coffee and cake.

Please book separately for the afternoon ‘Heron’ weaving session if you want to make a full day.

Create your own heron sculpture from willow with local artist Rachel Harwood

An afternoon workshop, where using simple weaving and sculpting techniques you will learn to make one of these graceful birds to take home. Suitable for beginners upwards, you will be guided through all the steps and willow weaving techniques needed all within the setting of the Heart of England Forest.

Introduction to Whittling Workshop

A wood carving by hand course for those with no previous experience. With Matt Cox, experienced outdoor practitioner.

During this relaxed morning session you will learn basic techniques in knife work to produce unique and beautiful butter knives ideal as gifts or use in the kitchen at home. This event is suitable for everyone.

£30pp including materials, tea, coffee and cake.
